St. Thomas

Combating homelessness through community restoration and youth uplift

  • Community Restoration
  • Homelessness
  • Youth Empowerment

After Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, 90% of the island of St. Thomas was without power and 77% of its residents were homeless. Unfortunately, St. Thomas residents are still feeling the effects of the hurricanes because as of November 3rd, 2017, most residents still do not have power, access to landlines, or clean water.

ASB St. Thomas will be traveling to the island in order to aid in hurricane relief by working with the Salvation Army, My Brother's Workshop, and Senator Marvin Blyden's office. Participants will be removing debris, rebuilding homes, and providing positive programming for children in their marginalized communities.
