Howard University Solidarity Day

Solidarity Day is an opportunity for the campus to actively voice its support for members of the Muslim faith

Solidarity Day is an opportunity for the campus to actively voice its support for members of the Muslim faith, to support religious freedom and equality, and to address the polarization in the country. It is a day where we educate students and other members of the community about the Muslim faith and engage in dialogues across the campus.

During this event, we encourage the community to wear hijabs and kufis throughout the day and to post photos on social media to show support and encourage others to do the same.

The Solidarity Day program is held twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester.
