Developing Pathways to Food Stability and Youth Empowerment

Widely known for its vibrant cultural and music scene, Nashville, Tennessee, is a city where creative energy flows through every neighborhood. And still, beneath the lively atmosphere, many families face inequitable access to food and education, creating barriers to opportunity and stability.

This year, the Howard University Alternative Spring Break program is answering that challenge. We are excited to serve in Nashville, focusing on Youth Empowerment and Developing Pathways to Food Stability. We will partner with local organizations to mentor and tutor youth, support after-school programs, and assist food pantries in addressing critical community needs. Through hands-on service and meaningful collaboration, we aim to shine a light on Nashville's youth and empower the next generation.
