Developing Pathways to Housing Stability and Youth Empowerment

Many renters in Buffalo find it difficult to remain housed. A significant portion of Black youth are negatively affected by poverty disasters during their formative years. In addition, that same demographic of people lack access to quality education.

Howard University Alternative Spring Break is proud to return to Buffalo for the second consecutive year, answering that call. Through our initiatives of Youth Empowerment and Developing Pathways to Housing Stability, we’re partnering with local schools and community organizations to make a lasting impact. From spearheading leadership workshops and providing mentorship to engaging in hands-on service projects, we aim to uplift families, inspire students, and support those striving for better housing opportunities.
