Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage, home to the Milwaukee Bucks and the birthplace of Harley-Davidson. Despite its vibrant atmosphere, Milwaukee confronts substantial challenges that impact its communities. The Howard University Alternative Spring Break program is committed to effecting meaningful and sustainable change through initiatives centered on education and violence prevention.

 

Our objective is to support the youth of Milwaukee by establishing partnerships with local schools and community advocacy organizations. We will concentrate on promoting academic excellence, providing mentorship opportunities, and creating safe environments that foster student development. In addition, we will implement initiatives aimed at raising awareness regarding violence and empowering young individuals to assume leadership roles within the community. Through these efforts, we aspire to contribute positively to the future of Milwaukee's youth and enhance the overall well-being of its communities.
