Community Development and Education

At the core of Chicago, Illinois, is a vibrant community driven by a deep commitment to social advocacy and progress. However, the city currently faces formidable challenges that demand urgent action and dedicated service. For over ten years, Howard University Alternative Spring Break program has proudly served the city, making a difference in the lives of its residents.

This year, we are excited to reaffirm our dedication to the initiatives of Education and Community Development. Our project will encompass vital activities such as facility cleanups, the revitalization of community gardens, mentorship programs, and engaging educational workshops that prepare individuals for college and career success. By partnering with local organizations and community leaders, we strive to create a lasting impact, addressing the pressing needs of the city and fostering its ongoing growth. Together, we can empower Chicago and its residents to thrive.
